Bark Busters' vision is a world with a Bark Busters therapist in every neighborhood to help every dog caregiver understand and apply the Bark Busters principles of canine communication so that every dog is well trained, safe, and loved.
Our Mission
As a world leader in dog training, Bark Busters' mission is to promote clear communications between owners and their dogs, using simple, effective, and natural training methods that appeal to the canine psyche. Through the professionalism and commitment of our network of dog behavioral therapists, we will work to enhance the human-canine bond and to reduce the possibility of maltreatment, abandonment and euthanasia of companion dogs.
Background
Bark Busters was started in Australia in 1989 by Sylvia and Danny Wilson, expert dog trainers and authors of many dog training books. Sylvia was head of an RSPCA shelter and studied the behavior and communication methods of dogs for years. She was saddened by the number of dogs she saw being maltreated, abandoned and euthanized for behavioral problems, which she knew was due to a lack of consistent leadership. This became the basis for creating Bark Busters unique, naturalistic and holistic training techniques. Originated in Australia these techniques have propelled Bark Busters' phenomenal growth worldwide. It has been operating in the U.S. since June 2000 - now the world's largest dog training company with more than 320 offices worldwide, including 250+ offices in the USA.

About the USA Founders
Andrew and Lisa Brooke along with Liam and Natalie Crowe have operated two of the highest achieving offices in the company.
They have undertaken the challenge of expanding Bark Busters throughout the USA and supporting the U.S. family of Bark Busters.
With over 20 years combined experience and their excellent abilities in all areas of business, Bark Busters USA has taken off.
Andrew and Lisa Brooke
Andrew and Lisa Brooke discovered Bark Busters at an exhibition day and thought it was just the thing they needed for their dog, who was driving them crazy.
At the time, Bark Busters was opening an office in Canberra, the capital of Australia. Andrew and Lisa voiced much interest in the company, and after meeting with the company’s directors, they were chosen to take on the new office.
They are two of Bark Busters' top behaviorists. Their passion and love for dogs really shines through in their work, as does their professionalism and abilities in teaching dog owners.
Andrew and Lisa developed the Canberra region of Australia, and their success shows in their ample awards over the past years.
Andrew and Lisa have trained thousands of dogs. They have appeared on various TV shows and in many newspaper articles. Their experience and business savvy are among many attributes Lisa and Andrew have to help develop Bark Busters USA.
Liam and Natalie Crowe
Liam and Natalie were frustrated dog owners who had tried everything to train their dog, Buddy. Finally, they went to see their veterinarian for advice and he suggested Bark Busters.
Brett Silk, Sylvia's son, was called in. After one session, Liam and Natalie were amazed with the improvement in their dog.
At that time, Liam was a bank manager and Natalie was a travel consultant. They both loved dogs and remembered the enthusiasm their trainer Brett had exuded when he came to their home. So, they decided Bark Busters was their chance to move into a career in which they, like Brett, could find enjoyment and satisfaction.
After 12 months of intensive training, Liam and Natalie left Australia to take Bark Busters to New Zealand.
In their first 12 months, Liam and Nat trained over 500 dogs, with fantastic results. They were also featured on a segment of 60 Minutes, which dealt with training aggressive dogs. Since then, they have trained thousands of dogs and appeared on virtually every pet-related TV show.
Liam and Natalie had expanded Bark Busters throughout New Zealand, and they were looking for a new challenge when the USA was suggested to them. Liam and Natalie joined forces with Andrew and Lisa to start the USA operation.
