Our dog’s breed: Some mix of herder (Aussie/Border/Whatever else). 50 pounds. Gentle, smart, intense, AND has an overwhelming territorial aggression. Will attack visitors.
PermalinkFirst off this will sound like a fake testimonial, but after *one lesson* with Randy we have control of our dog’s intensive aggression toward people coming to our house. This is a situation that has basically kept us (and our college age kids) from inviting anyone over, ever. Levi would instantly attack and go for the bite. Randy helped us understand dog brain and instead of using devices to try to break the behavior, Randy used Levi’s natural instincts help us establish dominance and control. Randy gave us strategies based on our particular needs and living space. The strategies are easy to use and remember and are humane. It is day 2 and we’ve had two unfamiliar visitors already. We used Randy’s strategies and Levi was calm and in control and looking to us for direction. If I didn’t see it I wouldn’t believe it. At first, I outright told Randy I was skeptical and didn’t think anything would work. He said I’d see results after one lesson and he delivered big time. This was a life-changer—no exaggeration. If you are hopeless about your aggressive dog *hire these trainers.*
Thank you Randy and we look forward to our future lessons with you and Kayla. I slept well last night!

I spent a long time trying to find a trainer that concentrated on behavioral modification instead of obedience training. Ben and Bark-Busters absolutely fit the bill. I had excellent success previously with an alpha rottweiler-mix using what I learned from watching and reading Caesar Milan. That was 15 years ago and it seems I had lost my knack and was unable to take my new rescue (3 years old) on a calm walk. With some additional tools from Ben it's working beautifully. The basic approach using body language and calm energy are the same as Milan's approach. The new tools include different vocalizations, a different training collar, and a squirt bottle instead of the taps that Caesar used. Also by starting with indoor exercises - such as claiming space, food and doors --, both my dog and I were more in-sync before moving outside to walking in a more distracting environment.
PermalinkIt's now day-two after the first session with Ben and my dog and I are walking calmly together. Inside behavior is also improving dramatically.
I really like that I'll be able to call or email Ben as I have questions or run into problems and as we advance to more difficult areas.

At one point, I really did think my dog was untrainable. I lost hope so many times but Robert gave me a new found confidence that I can control the outcomes of my dog's behavior on the first training session.

Holly was excellent to work with. She was able to show us how to get our dog to walk on a leash without pulling in the first visit. We had tried 3 other trainers from different facilities without luck. I would highly recommend Holly for any dog training issues. Much better understanding of how to work with our dog.
PermalinkI am glad that you all found us after not having success with three previous trainers. You all picked up very quickly on the training and I know you now have years of happy walking ahead!

Made working with our dog Gus much easier. We were able to get Gus on a leash and walking with no pulling and fighting. It was truly amazing. Gives us hope we will be able to have more enjoyable walks for a long time to come. Highly recommend Holly and Bark Busters!!
PermalinkThank you. It was so nice working with all of you on Saturday. Gus was such a good walker and I was so happy to see how quickly you all picked up the walking! I look forward to our second session.

Fantastic results in the first session and Josh were very good at seeing where we needed the extra instruction for our dog training. Very satisfied with the training and instruction.

I felt very comfortable with Robert. He helped me with all of my questions and help me address how to become a leader. I am very appreciative. Thank you very much.
