Welcome. I am Elaina Ehrhart, a certified dog behavioral therapist and dog trainer for this amazing international company founded more than thirty years ago in Australia.

I have grown up with dogs my whole life and have a passion for helping animals. I was born and raised in Northern Nevada where I attended the University and graduated with a degree in public health.

When I was given the opportunity to join the Bark Busters family, I couldn't resist, and I haven’t looked back. I am thrilled to continue my career so close to home and have the opportunity to expand my community and help you live in harmony with your dog.

I conduct in-home, private, behavioral and obedience dog training customized to your goals, and your dogs issues and needs. Training is done in your home where your dog is more relaxed, there are less distractions, and where most problems occur. Our clients see results in the very first session!

I partner with my pet parents. I train dog owners, not just dogs! My goal is to solve the communication barrier between you and your dog! I work with you to help you become your dog's leader - teaching and guiding you to use dogs' natural communication methods including voice tones and body language.

I use dog-friendly methods. Bark Busters only uses positive and humane training techniques. Negative reinforcement such as shock collars, prong collars, or punishment often results in a more aggressive dog. We also don't believe in unnecessary treat training.  Simply, we teach you how to communicate with your dog using natural methods that both you and your dog can understand.

We were beyond stressed trying to manage the behaviors of our high energy, 7 month old Shih Tzu Mix (Pippy) and having a difficult time helping our 4 year old Jack Russell Mix (Trouble) adjust to having a puppy in his home. I contacted bark busters because my dog Lucy had awful separation anxiety and nothing I was doing was helping. Their team answered right away and made scheduling so easy. Elaina was very patient while coaching us to guide Bella on curbing her behaviors. We are working on her chewing, barking, boundaries, and separation anxiety. We just had our third lesson on December 4, 2021, and Bella was showing improvement with staying until released, checking in, and her separation anxiety. Bella likes Elaina, so the training goes easy, but is detailed to help us help Bella. Elaina has us check-in with her once a week, and she likewise checks in with us to stop any incorrect training and unwanted behaviors, by giving us tips to try with the lesson we are working on. Elaina has a great personality, is fun to work with, and is invested in meeting our and Bella's needs. I would recommend Elaina if you need assistance with your furry friend's behaviors.

One of our dogs got severe sibling rivalry issues and possessive of my wife. We thought we going to have give up one of our dog. We made an appointment with Randy hoping to keep our boys together. 4 training session later our pups have better manners, listen to directions, and now we can take them on walks with the confidence to socialize them. Randy and Kayla are awesome trainers. I have had other trainers in the past but they used treats and E collars. Randy and Kayla do not use those methods. They came to my home to help with overall obedience. We wanted our dog in our wedding and they helped us become leaders so our dog could be in our wedding. All without shock collars or treats. I highly recommend them!

Our black lab was running our house. I finally looked for training because he would growl at me on my own bed and couch! I love that Kayla and Randy came to our home instead of us having to take our dog somewhere. They taught us how to be the leaders of the pack and with practice and consistency our lab now respects us. I also love that they do not use shock collars or treats to train. Their techniques are natural and based on communication and not pain or negative reinforcement. I only wish we called them sooner!

I contacted Bark Busters because my dog was becoming food aggressive towards our other dogs. Feeding time was always stressful because we had to separate all three dogs. I've only had 1 lesson so far but it was the best training experience i have had yet. I have been through a few different trainers local and national brands. within 30 minutes I was already seeing results, major results. Randall & Kayla have separate and similar training styles that worked for my 2 dogs that are completely opposite from one another. Highly recommend these 2 if you are in the Northern Nevada area.

We got results instantly. Within 2 hours a dog that was anxious, only obeyed when calm and would not go outside due to fear would do everything we ask and would go outside on his own. JUST AMAZING. It seems unconventional at first, but if use the tools sh give you the results are immediate and last.
