Our dog Moose is a one year old Golden Retriever who loves to put his nose down to the ground dragging us behind on the leash. He also loves to meet people to the point that he's so overexcited that he's hard to handle. After just a couple sessions with Omar, Moose now heels on the leash and we are learning techniques to help settle him down so everyone involved has a better experience meeting, including Moose. Omar and Ryanne saved our dogs! This may sound like hyperbole, but let me explain. It was summer of 2024 and we thought our two female dogs were healthy and happy, they'd play with each other, we'd walk them daily. The older dog is a mostly Siberian Husky mix we rescued in 2018, now about 8 years old. The newer dog is +3 year old full Australian Shepherd we've had since she was eight weeks old. The Aussie completed two obedience classes very well. Yet last spring-into-summer, the two dogs began fighting each other, much more than simple play, and this reached a crescendo in late summer. We tried to figure out the reason for the fights, thinking it was our interactive play with the dogs in the yard. Two separate fights resulted in injuries to each dog requiring veterinary care, and we despaired that we might have to re-home one of our beloved dogs. Ryanne has been incredible, I can highly recommend her to anyone with a dog with behavioral issues! We have a very stubborn mini dachshund who showed territorial aggression and excessive marking and barking. We have only had a handful of sessions with Ryanne, but our dog has shown improvements we would not have believed a couple of weeks ago. He is able to stay overnight in his own crate without wining, we can eat in peace without him harassing us, his barking has reduced by 80-90%, and we have learned very easy-to-use techniques to help him calm down more quickly when we have visitors. We have a four year old GS mix and we recently adopted a 5 year old GSD who was very reactive, not socialized at all and who was not leash trained. Ryanne and Omar taught us behavior techniques and modifications which we practiced on both our dogs. Bark Busters instructor Ryanne is an excellent trainer. We were skeptical at first if our dog could be turned around. Sonic (our dog) was aggressive, barked alot, jumped up and was pulling on leash while walking. Within a few days not months learning her techniques we had a very different dog. We use these techniques every day now. Now our dog hardly barks at all, is calm, easier to walk and very little aggression. A considerable change. We were very impressed. Our mixed breed rescue (JoJo) was experiencing EXTREME fear reactivity after having been attacked and injured by another dog.
