Pam and Zeke Twardzik Bark Busters Trainers in Space Coast

In-Home Dog Training in Melbourne, Palm Bay & Space Coast!

Welcome. We are Pam and Zeke Twardzik your Bark Busters Dog Trainer and Dog Behavioral Therapist in Space Coast, FL. We are so excited to be part of such a great family-oriented dog training company that can help families become closer through the full joy of companion dog ownership.

We have been with Bark Busters since November of 2006 and have had the pleasure to successfully train thousands of dogs in Melbourne, Palm Bay and surrounding areas and we would be more than happy to train your dog too! Like our family, you have a dog because you want it to be a part of your family- not to be the ill-mannered relative no one can stand but you tolerate it anyway, because after all, he is family.

Space Coast Bark Busters teaches you the best way to communicate with your dog in a way your dog will naturally understand, because we leverage the same techniques dogs use to communicate with us. Dog training lessons typically last 2 hours. If your dog reacts like an average dog, you will likely see some positive changes in its behavior during that time. Just imagine if you could train your dog as well has he has trained you! The dog behavior training practiced by Space Coast Bark Busters is simple, fun, it works and we do it in your home!

Client Reviews

See what our clients in Melbourne & Palm Bay have to say

...this experience is worth sharing. Superb, Outstanding, Phenomenal results in just the first visit. Pam actively listened to my concerns, observed our interactions and the dynamics of our relationships (mine and my 2 dogs), then got to work explaining what was happening and how we could fix it. I felt heard, supported, and encouraged at the end of our lesson. I am grateful to have a plan and support for overcoming the challenges my dogs are having while adjusting to apartment living. I’m looking forward to updating the review when we achieve our goals. Thanks Pam.
Information from the very first visit made a huge difference in my spoiled rotten dogs’ attitudes about who was in charge. It was an immediate change in them when I practiced the lessons I learned on the first visit. Can’t wait for my second visit to gain more understanding of “dog talk” and how to implement it with my boys.
Pam’s training methods are amazing!
She worked with us on obedience issues, greeting guests, food begging, and pulling on the leash. The results were immediate. Gus is so much calmer & we can now enjoy walking together. I wish we had done this sooner!
Pam came out and trained us on how to become the Leaders of the Our Pack which Baily the dog is a young member. After training us humans on how to understand how dogs think, we learned fabulous tools and techniques that WORK! In one lesson our lives have changed and we are in charge and control. We can’t wait for more lessons! Great Program!
I've just recently started my ACD Red Heeler puppy Bindi on her training. Pam came to my home on Feb 20th & spent 3 full hours with us learning about Bindi's background, health & 'quirks'. During this time we also worked on verbal & visual commands I'll be using, and some outdoor work on the leash with me sitting in the gazebo where Bindi who right now is a very timid/ever watchful dog couldn't see me but could 'see the world go by'. Pam gave me 2 training tools, as well - a Martingale collar to help with the leash & some chain link to use as a sound correction to get Bindi's attention/stop bad behavior. I felt very encouraged with Day #1 & am looking forward to having a more calm & obedient dog, and I feel the manner in which Pam has you working with your dog will help for a successful outcome. On my Day#2 & Day #6 at home on my own, Pam has emailed me with additional tips for working with my little 'Nervous Nellie'. Pam is pleasant & professional to work with, and you can tell she really cares about helping you & your dog become successful partners in training & afterward.
We’ve had pets all our lives and this was the first time we ever reached out for professional help. In less than 30 days, Cooper has become an out of control puppy, with extreme fear issues, to a well behaved pet, who no longer has the fear of walking on leash. Not only is he a happier dog, our family no longer has the stress we were experiencing with a puppy and older dog in the house.

Cooper responds to our commands….no yelling, newspaper, etc. His intelligence was there all the time, we just didn’t know how to channel it. It started with channeling us.

We benefitted as much from Pam’s training as Cooper did. And, it was much easier than expected. Just using the right methods consistently is the best investment we’ve ever made for one of our pets.

He is extremely well behaved for a seven month old BIG pup.

We highly recommend Pam and Bark Busters to get you and your pet on the road to success.
Cooper is doing very well with his training and obeying most of his commands after only six days. He is getting better with walking on leash and is not herding our older dog going in and out of the house.

We still have work to do but we’re pleased with our results so far.
Wish I could give 10 stars! We simply are over the moon with Bark Busters and our trainer Oam. She works magic. Pam is a true professional! She is full of wisdom! And sooo caring. She listens to your individual needs and issues & works through them so incredibly easy. Every session is highly educational and you feel so much more empowered by the tools she shares and teaches. There is a ton of jaw dropping & mind blowing moments! This is not only during our sessions, but even if I text/call her, there is a response within 24 hours! Please note I am a 3 doggie household and that is not easy. It's been seamless from day 1! I will also add that every single time I call Bark Busters before we made our decision to go with them, everyone was extremely nice and professional and all questions thruthfully answered. The customer service is fantastic from before, during, and now that we have continued to work with them. Our home is so much more peaceful & calm & all 3 of our fur babies are much happier and more playful than ever. Do yourselves a favor. Call Them. You won't regret it.
I was amazed with what Pam was able to teach us in the first session. Sorry that i had not contacted them much sooner. Our lives and our loving Aussies lives also would have been better for sure.
Thank you Pam. Highly recommended.
I would first like to say that our first visit with Pam was amazing! Pam took her time to focus on all our concerns with our two puppies and gave us so much helpful information. We continued to work on all her suggestions each time and we are slowly seeing an improvement.
I am looking forward to working with Pam with our puppies and getting them both the best training.
I have had a rescue dog for about a year. She is afraid of everything. After the first visit there was great improvement. I found that she thought she was in charge. This was the big problem. Pam was great and so glad I called.
Pam is awesome. Our puppy has become such well behaved, happy and responsive family member because of Pam's training. Pam is punctual and has excellent communication skills. We enjoyed having her here, which allowed our dog to learn in a comfortable, natural environment. Make an appointment with her, you wont be disappointed!
We had a great first session with Pam! Saw amazing results after the first hour. I am looking forward to continuing the techniques we learned so everyone loves our pups as much as we do!
Best decision we ever made! We had a 3 month old Mastiff/Labrador mix who was getting out of control. We had results after our very first session. Pam has been wonderful. She is always positive and ready with new advice or a new tool for our training arsenal. Knowing she is only a text/call is a huge relief.
We recently completed our last training session with Pam and she has been absolutely incredible! Our main reason for seeking in-home training was some aggression and backyard territorial control issues with our Pit Bull, Bentley. She also suggested some other items needed correction as well after her initial review, and tied everything up in a great package for us. She was awesome with Bentley, who grew to love her more than he feared her (haha!). She was also fantastic with including our neighbors in the backyard training, where he primarily had the most issues. She was patient, firm yet kind, and extremely thorough. I'm thankful that I opted to go with a personal in-home trainer. You don't get this level of quality work ethic and passion very often! And our Bentley definitely flourished with the one-on-one training. Thank you endlessly, Pam!!
I really want to thank you again for all of your help and encouragement!! Darla is doing awesome on the schedule! We are thrilled with her progress and we owe it to you! Thank you!!
I've just completed my training with Pam. Please understand our dog had some issues and not knowing her the first year of life before we adopted her. I realized a couple things. The petowners need to work with your pet, do your homework as it goes. I would highly recommend Bark Buster's to anyone. Nobody knows everything about training. I dont care how long you've owned dogs. I did see one negative review. It was as though he was reviewing a product. You the pet owner are trained as well. You need to realize there is no magic wand with your pet. It reminds me of a guy one time who gave a top rated "walk behind lawnmower" a bad review because it did not go in reverse. ( I hope he still has his toes) I now have the best dog ever through training with Ms Pam T. We spend so much money on our pets welfare but forget to focus on their real happiness through Bark Buster's training. Thank you again Bark Buster's.
Hi, this is Lori Matthews.
Thank you again for coming to help our family with Darla. I've already seen a change and it's because of you and your techniques we've been doing. We've been playing in the backyard successfully with Jacob running around even! We will continue to be consistent and practice her training. I'm so excited!!
After a couple days with our adopted labrabull Lucy I just wasn't sure. After a few visits from Pam I can not believe I almost gave up on what has become the best dog ever in all aspects. Without Pam's help training our pact I would be pet less.
So you think because you own a dog(s) and have for years you know it all. We spend alot of money on our pets and when they are hurt even more. Pam (our )trainer that's my wife and I too. I had no idea that in home training would be so great. We did our research on trainers and most people just go with the cheapest. Actually Bark Buster's was but anyway we could not be happier with Pam. We adopted Lucy a year old lab and knew we needed some professional help. By all accounts we believed her to be a wonderful dog. We now feel our Lucy is a remarkable addition to the family. You need to be trained as well. Do yourself a favor and consider Pam or whomever Bark Buster's sends to realize the potential for a great family member .
I wanted to let someone know how pleased we are with Pam Twardzik. She has been worth every dollar spent. Without her I don't know that we could have kept our new family member. She has given us the tools to control and not be controlled. She is very knowledgeable, patient and caring. I would never consider this journey without her.
Thank you Pam
Pam was outstanding! She answered all of my questions and had great tips and tricks to help me with my lab, Meeka! Meeka was already following the new commands before Pam even left! Thank you!!
Pam is outstanding! Showed us some easy techniques to cure two barking problems. Results were immediate! Had used another trainer (more expensive) previously with unsuccessful results. Pam also worked with our mobile groomer to try and de-stress the grooming process. Highly recommend. Our schnauzer's demeanor changed immediately. Calmer and more submissive. Happy dog and happier owners. Will definitely recommend to our vet.
I adopted my dog from a local shelter, a feisty young chihuahua named Remy. I was at the end of my rope with his barking and inability to walk calmly on a leash. Pam with Bark Busters was exactly what was needed to help both Remy and myself understand each other and figure out who was boss. I am please to report after working with Pam, I am able to walk Remy through the neighborhood and even the neighbors have commented that he is so well behaved now. His barking is under control. When he goes in the yard he just sits at the fence looking out instead of running up and down barking.
I understand that we both needed training and Pam 's calm presence made her easy to work with. All of the techniques are safe and very effective. I would definitely recommend Bark Busters.
Pam was as good at training me to be a better pack leader as she was training the dogs! I went into the training with 3 dogs who did not listen to me and they were misbehaving in the house.. Chewing, peeing, etc.

After my first lesson with Pam, the whole dynamic changed and the dogs began to understand I was the leader.

After the next two lessons, I was able to handle the dogs and they were behaving! She knows her stuff and the methods work very well. She listens to you and works on the areas that you want help with.
I love Pam!!

I loved my time with Pam, and look forward to our next training session!
She listened to our needs and desires for our dog and addressed those issues first. (He no longer takes US for a walk, but we take him!!). What a difference just our first session has made.
Pam was very clear, and she showed us how to reinforce these behaviors in between training sessions.

Things to consider before getting a puppy

Does My New Puppy Need Training?

Puppies need guidance to learn good manners and develop a pleasant nature – after all, they are very similar to infants and toddlers. They require more time and attention for housetraining, socialization, feeding, and entertainment than adult dogs – not a commitment to be taken lightly.

There’s no one-size-fits-all solution when training your new puppy, but Bark Busters Space Coast can help build a basic foundation of trust and respect in a safe and nurturing environment, including crate training, potty training, and leash training your puppy.

Your trainers in Melbourne and Palm Bay will give you everything you need to successfully train your puppy at home, including how best to deal with the many common problems that occur in the first six months like:

  • Chewing
  • Playful Biting
  • Barking
  • Food Stealing
  • Digging
  • Potty Training
  • Separation Anxiety

Training can start a few days after your puppy has settled into their new home. Early, consistent training means establishing leadership traits that are key to managing your dog’s behavior. Ready to get started?

How to Handle Multiple Dogs in Your Household

While adding a new dog to your family can bring joy, playfulness, and more love into your home, it can also lead to dog behavioral issues. Sibling rivalry is one of the most common behavioral issues we help owners with in multi-dog households.

Managing a household with multiple dogs requires strong leadership to maintain harmony. Many owners encounter behavioral challenges that can range from dogs not listening due to feeding off each other’s energy to more severe cases of dog aggression - and all kinds of issues in between! There are different types of sibling rivalry that can arise between dogs:

  • Resource Guarding: Dogs may guard items like food, toys, crates, or specific areas of the home, and even their human owners.
  • Age Difference: Introducing a puppy into a home with an older dog can create tension if the puppy’s constant playfulness annoys the older dog. Without clear rules and boundaries, this can lead to sibling rivalry.
  • Maturity Clashes: A younger dog reaching maturity may sense the vulnerability of a senior dog in the home and attempt to assert dominance, sometimes leading to aggressive behavior.
  • Littermate Syndrome: When two puppies of the same age, whether from the same litter or different litters, are raised together, they may bond more with each other than with the owner. This can result in feral behavior and, as they mature, increased likelihood of fighting.

Professional Dog Training Can Resolve Tensions

These are just a few issues that can arise in a multi-dog household. Dealing with these challenges can be stressful, but the good news is that with the right guidance, these tensions can be resolved. Our trainers in the Melbourne and Palm Bay area have extensive experience with multi-dog households and sibling rivalry. While it requires time and consistency, achieving a peaceful home is possible! Working with a professional Bark Busters trainer is essential to ensure success.
