Dear Bark Busters Clients:
The safety and well-being of all Bark Busters clients, trainers, and members of communities we serve has always been a priority for Bark Busters, and it remains our highest priority as we continue to navigate through COVID-19.
We are aware of recent guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) related to safety precautions around household pets, and we are glad to report the safety guidelines provided to our trainers in March 2020 is consistent with the updated guidance from the CDC.
Our trainers have been advised to continue adhering to CDC guidelines as well as local and state guidelines, which differ throughout the United States based on local conditions.
The safety precautions we put in place in March are further explained and updated below:
- Lesson confirmations – our trainers have been advised to communicate pro-actively with all clients in advance of lessons to confirm residents and visitors of the household where training will occur have not experienced any signs of respiratory illness within the last 14 days, specifically those symptoms of COVID-19 as identified by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – including fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other related symptoms – if there are any indications of these symptoms, we recommend our clients to seek medical advice immediately and that our trainers reschedule the lesson to a later date and to consider providing training support remotely.
- Sickness – we have advised our trainers to stay home if they show any signs of sickness and to arrange alternate means to provide client support.
- Avoidance of contact– where lessons are allowed in your home or outdoor areas, our trainers have been advised to avoid traditional welcoming gestures such as handshakes, as well as the avoidance of contact with humans, pets, devices, products and all other surfaces – importantly, we have advised our trainers to avoid the use of sharing mobile devices to share videos and to complete the invoicing process with clients, which we believe will have no material impact on the effectiveness of your training.
- Cleaning and disinfecting – we have advised our trainers to take precautionary cleaning measures as advised by the CDC both prior to, and after, all in-home training lessons with clients.
These safety precautions will continue to serve as a way to reduce the risk of exposure and spread of COVID-19 to everyone in the Bark Busters family, while continuing to enable you, our clients, to receive the valuable support we have committed to you.
We will continue to pay close attention to ongoing developments, and should you have any questions about our safety measures we encourage you to contact your trainer to learn more. Our home office also remains ready to help address any questions or concerns you might have.
From our family to yours,
Carl Peterson
